Directions: Work on a small section at a time. Place the mat breaker underneath the tangle, making sure the dull side is closest to your pets skin. Always direct sharp edges away from your pet. Use a gentle "sawing" motion to work the tool through the mat. Never pull on the mat. Once mat is removed, comb or brush out the area. To adjust blade, simply push the button and flip the blade to your preferred position.

Directions: Work on a small section at a time. Part the hair to the skin and brush in the direction the hair grows. Use a light stroking action to allow the pins to ease through the coat. Use thumb pad help guide brushing.

• Short, medium and wiry coats - Start by brushing in the direction of the hair growth, then against it to remove mats and tangles.
• Long coats - Brush in the direction of hair growth, parting the layers. Use a light stroke which goes beyond the end of the hair to avoid breakage.
• Curly coats - It is important that curly coats be brushed two or three times a week, as dead hair does not readily fall out of them. These coats should be brushed to the skin to avoid deep matting.

Nail Trimmers are ideal for all coat types.

Directions: Holding your dogs paw firmly in one hand, insert the nail into opening above the cutting blade and squeeze the handles together. If your dogs nails are extremely long, trim just a little off and wait a week to trim the nails again. This will allow the blood vessels to retreat back into the nail. Repeat the procedure once a week until you have reached the desired length.

Important: If you cut too much and the nail starts to bleed, apply styptic powder to the nail and the bleeding should stop.
